Paris Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2018: When Chanel put his ego in the right place
Balenciaga’s show at Paris Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2018 marked two years of the brand working with Creative Director Demna Gvasalia, a period of time long enough to see what the `rookie` has accomplished.
As one of the `golden eggs` of parent group Kering (along with Gucci, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen,…), the Balenciaga brand shows that it always harmonizes art and commerce.
The samples are meticulously cared for, showing the care in promoting the applicability of products from founder Demna Gvasalia.
The series of designs continues with shirts, polo t-shirts randomly mixed with mini skirts, straight-leg shorts or thin, light sweaters tied around the shoulders, the placement seems arbitrary but is actually the result.
Oversized tartan-striped coats blend harmoniously with thin, light skirts of the same color printed with dollar coin motifs to create a cheerful and optimistic feeling.

Exquisite tone-on-tone mix and match for Spring-Summer 2018
An easily noticeable feature of Balenciaga’s recent collections is the harmonious coordination of clothing layers: Either the models will be pushed in a completely sturdy direction, or if they are soft and fluttery, they will be accentuated with accessories.
“The creative material that I value most is practical experience, from which I can develop designs that make the wearer feel excited.” – Demna shared optimistically.
