The Swedish Ambassador participates in the 7-day `green living` challenge for the environment

(Dan Tri) – Swedish Ambassador Pereric Högberg, singer My Linh and United Nations officials participated in the campaign launch event called `7 days challenge`, and together committed to maintaining a green lifestyle.

On April 10, at the United Nations Green Building, the Embassy of Sweden, the United Nations and the Live and Learn organization launched a campaign called `7 days challenge`.

Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam Pereric Högberg said that there was a time when Sweden did not care about environmental protection because it focused on other goals.

Mr. Högberg cited a study saying that with the current situation, by 2050, the amount of plastic waste in the ocean will likely exceed fish and seafood stocks.

Mr. Kamal Malhotra, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Vietnam, said that the 2030 agenda for sustainable development not only requires high-level commitment from the government but also requires strong efforts from everyone in the world.

The ambassador of the program, female singer My Linh, as a mother and wife in the family, shared about the difficulties her family encountered when starting to switch to the habit of `green living`.

Sharing that she was wearing old shoes bought for 100-200,000 VND, My Linh called on everyone to practice a thrifty lifestyle and protect the environment.
