Dermatologist Ava Shamban loves using clean cooking ingredients to prepare `dishes` that are safe for the skin.

According to Shamban, brown sugar is a powerful ingredient in the DIY world, thanks to it containing anti-aging Glycolic Acid, as well as natural moisturizers to keep your skin soft and smooth.

Perform:

1. Combine 1/2 cup of a light formula moisturizer (like Yves Rocher or Innisfree cream) and 5 tablespoons of coconut oil in a small bowl or jar.

2. Mix in 1/2 cup brown sugar and 3 tablespoons oatmeal until the mixture thickens.

3. Gently apply the mixture onto damp body skin, avoiding the face and massage gently.

4. Shower off and apply your favorite moisturizer for an amazing spa experience at home.

Dr. Shamban said: “Almonds and dates are rich in vitamin E, antioxidants and have gentle cleansing properties that do not irritate the skin or cause excess oil secretion like some other strong detergents.

Perform:

1. Using a coffee grinder, grind 1/3 cup of almonds into coarse powder

2. Add 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil with half an avocado (will make skin more radiant by providing vitamins B, C, E, and K) and mash with a spoon.

3. Mix the above 2 mixtures and add 2 tablespoons of witch hazel extract – antioxidant, antibacterial, astringent.

4. Apply the above mixture to the entire body (except the face) after wetting the skin.

This formula has Epsom salt as its main ingredient, which acts as a gentle exfoliant and helps relax the whole body.

Perform:

1. Add 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, 5 drops of pure lavender essential oil, 3 teaspoons of Epsom salt and 1 tablespoon of green tea to a bowl.

2. Mix the ingredients until the mixture is thick like paste.

3. Massage the mixture on damp skin all over the body (except face) for 10-15 minutes then rinse.
