Golden Week and Japanese Children’s Day at Nikko Hanoi

In Japan, May 5 every year on the wall calendar will be marked in red as children’s day – Kodomo no hi (子供の日).

Children’s Day, May 5, is associated with the image of colorful fabric Koinobori carp flags (in Japanese, Koi means carp, Nobori means flag, banner) over 3 meters long hung on high poles.

Hang the carp flag.

The origin of these carp flags comes from an ancient Chinese legend when a carp swam across the fierce Yellow River to transform into a dragon.
