ELLE Fashion Show: Returning the true value of fashion
The world’s first Fashion Show took place around the 19th century in the form of a `fashion parade` in Paris in fashion stores for the purpose of introducing new designs.
Over the decades, individual fashion shows have been gathered into a large fashion week, taking place twice a year to introduce new trends in the Spring-Summer and Fall-Winter seasons.
Fashion Show `Vietnamese Style`
Although it has been present in the world for nearly 200 years, when it was introduced to Vietnam in the early 90s, fashion shows were distorted by many producers and turned into an entertainment part of variety shows.
In the early 2000s, a number of fashion shows based on theatrical production with the concept of `fashion show` were also created, combined with a number of other art forms such as contemporary dance.
Then, in 2011, the first ELLE Fashion Show (EFS) was born, promising to return the inherent applicability to fashion, arousing suspicion from the press and fans.
Honoring true fashion
Without placing too much emphasis on performance art, without complicating the stage, without tricks and mixing vaudeville elements, EFS brought the fashion show to its true value – introducing collections and fashion trends.
All models are synchronized in the same makeup and hair layout according to the concept of each collection, instead of each person’s free style on stage like before.
