12 Years a Slave won, Gravity received many Oscar awards

On the evening of March 2 (US time), the 86th Academy Awards ceremony was held at the Dolby Theater, Hollywood, Los Angeles.

According to the nomination list announced on January 16, Gravity, American Hustle and 12 Years a Slave are the three films with the most nominations.

Despite receiving 10 nominations, American Hustle went home empty-handed without winning any awards.

This year’s Oscars also witnessed the brilliance of Mexican actress Lupita Nyong’o when she received the award for Best Supporting Actress for the role of Patsey, movie 12 Years a Slave.
